Default Do your parents/elderly relatives play on your Wii?

Hi,

I know the kids love the Wii that's pretty obvious I think it's great to see a console catering for all ages! So just out of interest do your parents/elderly relatives play on your Wii?

I was and still am presently surprised that after my girlfriends parents played on Wii sports for no less than 5 minutes they decided they wanted one!

They've not once really shown an interest in gaming and this to me is great as when I now go over their house I can bring an extra controller along for some more Wii action where I least expected it.

It was also great to see them really enjoying themselves playing Wii Sports Golf and bowling. The Dad is getting the new Tiger Woods 09 game and won't stop talking about it!

Any other experiences like this one here?

My family lives in the US (I'm in the UK) so they couldn't play on mine. But after sending pictures explaining to them what a Wii and a WiiFit is, my mother went out and bought herself a Wii and a WiiFit. Not only that, my sister did the same. My sister is 54, and my mother is 73!

(Thanks Caesar)

This is all good. Personally I think it's fantastic, I can't see them playing Mario Galaxy though. Mainly stuff in the vein of Wii sports. Not sure what else. The Mum probably would like Big Brain Academy

We bought our kids a wii at easter with some games, then in April I saw wii fit advertised so I bought it for myself. My hubby goes on boxing and baseball almost everyday and I am on wii fit every day - unlike our 2 kids!! lol (well they struggle to get a look in hehe, They tell me a couple of their friends moms have wii fit as well.

Nope...

None of my family or friends have any interest in my Wii at all...

Though my mother did buy Brain training for my DS and plays on that now and again.

Wii Code: 2904 6383 4592 3435

Super Smash Bros Brawl FC:- 4425-1795-0166

Mario Kart Wii FC:- 1719-3360-9001

I have had to deal with a major family issue hence the lack of online again :\ (it's all to do with my sister's theft if anyone remembers from before)

The first day I had the wii my grandad played bowling. He wasn't bad. But never played since.

My other grandad plays bowling on my cousins Wii. He's good

hahaha on Christmas day my mum played Wii Sports Tennis with me for like 5 minutes. Sometimes my sister and brother play Mario Kart against me :P. But, I'm the only one who plays on my Wii really, my brother just prefers playing GTA on my PS3 and failing every mission hahahha

Only me and my brother use my wii, the rest of my family have no gaming interest what so ever! Suprising to see how many peoples parents/grandparents use wiis, but I supose there are so many "games" that cater for older gamers (wii sports, wii fit etc) as well as younger ones that its not realy that suprising.

My Games:
Super Smash Bros: Brawl, Metriod Prime 3: Corruption.

Virtual Console:
Super Mario Bros: 3, Pokemon: Snap.

Nintendo DS:
New Super Mario Bros, Pokemon Pearl.
