Its been out for a year and a half now. Cooling off is expected, I'm sure. The only saving grace is that Nintendo pulled back on its shipments to keep the market from being saturated too quickly and having to drop their price or create a new system earlier.
Plus, economic slowdown is hurting every industries' sales. No one is immune.
Nows the time to reach into the bag of tricks. Unfortunately, Sony has done so by cancelling its mid level PS3 in the U.S., too, so it seems in the trick or treat part of each system's lifecycle, one in particular has started with a trick.
Let's hope Nintendo can do a better job. It seems they're at least thinking in the right direction, with the new motion sensor.
