If you are after a football game, the main 2 out there at the moment for the Wii are PES or Fifa 08. I have owned both previously / currently and I prefer PES for the type of game play / use of control system, it is amazing. Atleast there is one person on here who don't have brawl thought I might of been the only one

Well, there is an item in brawl that is a football, but no, the game isn't football as you have probably figured out.

Like everyone else said, PES is the way to go.

I don't play "Football" games, American "football" or European "football". but I highly suggest getting Brawl anyway, an excellent fighter wiht alot more strategy than with the established fighters (tekken, Soul Caliber)

How is there strategy in brawl? Surely the aim of the game is to bash your opponent off the platform. What is strategic about that? Should I use the sword or the gun to kill him? ? ? ? ?

Lol. Have you ever played the game. You need to predict your opponents movements, Figure out what attack to hit them when they are vulnerable, then be dodging their attacks. Alot of strategy.
