Personally I think they're very basic and don't look like must thought has been put into them.
Whereas the EU ones seem to have been well thought about and probably had more time spent on them...
I like the fact that they don't just go for the most obvious choice for a cover (CGI images from the game), but they try and give you a feel for what the game is about. I think that with the EU ones, the first part of the game's story is being told on the front cover
