No problem peeps , I'm glad it helped.

It's worth messing around with the "arcade" and "professional" settings.

I think a good general rule is:
Do you play flight sims on the pc (like M$ flight simulator x)? ...you'll prefer "pro" setting
Do you play arcade flyers on consoles (like the ace combat series)? ....you'll prefer "arcade" setting

Find the one you like and stick to it (I like codemaster's thinking here....giving us more choice on the control system - it's not like "configure the buttons you press", in this case they're completely different ways of flying)

Saw this game and thought about buying it. Concentrating on COD3 (can't get the knack of that yet) and Sonic at the minute. Then once one of them is finished I'll trade it in and Heatseeker will be the next I get.

Thanks for the review. I got the game last week and really enjoying it at the mo. It reminds me very much of Excite Truck in the sky. Not sure if its just the way I play [lying down, arm stretched out by side] but Ive been getting a little twinge on inside of elbow. A mixture of this and the flat out action can make me sit bolt upright to put in more concentration.
It took me two nights to land on the Nemesis, and when I did, I didn't know how I'd managed it!

EDIT: see this thread here. Apparently this game likes to randomly crash the system every now and then. Not often, but enough to make you worry.

I'll see if it continues over the weekend....if it does, despite this being a fantastic and fun game, it might have to be replaced/traded in

i've not played it as much as some but i havnt had a crash yet

althought now i've said that it will probably start crashing all the time

It is a really good game though ... the arcade setting basically auto rolls the plane for you where as pro mode you roll the remote to console the roll of the plane.

It's still very arcady combat system but it works well for the wii

Hmmmmmm.....

I just finished about an hour of play and everything was fine.

I also just trawled the net and found out that it has NOTHING to do with the game par se.
I've just seen a video with the same problem on the Wii main screen, and also another one with the game Madden NFL.

Good News: Well folks.....it looks like it's an infrequent occurence that has nothing to do with the game inserted (phew.....looks like I'll be hanging onto it then.....2 more missions on and it just gets better and better - mission 3.1 where you have literally SWARMS and swarms of enemy aircraft hunting you down is MENTAL )

Bad News: This means, however, that it is an issue with the Wii (I think) overheating during prolonged play, perhaps?.....I'm actually stumped here, but the fact that many other people have had the problem with other games as well indicates that it's not just me and that it isn't the games fault.
Aaahh well, a pretty odd gremlin to have in the system I think :(

As long as it isn't a regular occurence, I think I can live with it
