Competition Time - New Blogger
As you might have noticed, one of the bloggers hasn't posted since March/April. Therefore, it would be a good idea to find a new blogger, to either write reviews about their games and hardware or write about their general thoughts about Nintendo, the Wii etc.
To find this blogger, it was suggested by wii_man76, a blogger himself, that a competition could be held to find the best person to take this position.
In this thread, you can post a blog about anything Nintendo related. Please make your blog a substantial length, similar to the existing blogs that have already been written. Also, pretty obviously, the blog must be your own work, and not taken directly off another site.
Bare in mind, blogs will only be accepted from member's who have a post count of over 50, so we can be assured that you are an active member, who will provide regular blogs.
The closing date for blogs is 30th September. Entrants can only write one blog in this time, to make it fair for everyone. After this date, all other member's will be able to vote for who's blog they like the best. The winner will then be given a 2 week trial, and if deemed to be a successful blogger, will become an official WiiTalk blogger.
Please note, don't reply saying you enjoyed or disagreed with a particular blog, you can do this in the voting period.

And how come you haven't got 'Wiitalk Blogger' under your name anymore Kilarapp?
Got fed up of waiting tbh. I emailed wii_man through his site, but haven't got a reply yet. I'm sure he won't mind if he does decide to return. And I don't know what happened to Killarapp's title.

My Zelda Twilight Princess review.
So that time is here again, a new epic Zelda game is released and thousands flock to their nearest game store. Eager to get their grubby mitts on a copy and they were not disappointed.
You return home and slide your disk, hands shaking with excitement, into your Wii. There it is...the music, awe inspiring, the rhythm rising and falling like the sea. You watch in amazement as the opening scene scrolls past your glassy eyes.
Suddenly, you are no longer sitting on your sagging sofa staring at the TV screen, but sitting next to a beautiful river, listening to it splash and gurgle as it moves lazily past your feet.
This is the amazing thing about the Zelda series, they have the power to instantly transport you to another land, a land where the are fantastic people to meet, beautiful places to see and devastating evil to battle, and Zelda Twilight Princess is no exception. In fact this could be the greatest Zelda in transporting you to another world, because of the superb graphics.
Utilising the full power of the Wii and then some, this game looks truly stunning. But this is not just a treat for your eyes, oh no. This is a treat for ears and your emotions. With a storyline so complex and touching you feel as if you are watching a film. The use of the Wiimote and nunchuk in Zelda is also a real bench setter. Use the Wiimote to slice with your sword, fly giant birds, fire your bow and arrow or even just go for a relaxing fish in the tranquil waters of Hyrule. The use of the nunchuk is in a more standard gaming way, I mean that in a positive way. For example, you move your character (Link) and his horse using the joystick, but it is used in one way which I particularly like. You shield, press Z to bring it up and defend yourself from arrows, charging armoured knights and even fire, but the shield is not only used for defensive purposes.
When you have your shield raised, you can thrust it forward into a attackers face to make him/her/hit lower the guard and the you sweep in with a strike from the Wiimote. Overall this is, in mine and many others opinions, the greatest game currently available for the Nintendo Wii.
Summary.
Pros:
Great graphics
40+ completion time
Superb control scheme
Fantastic story
Cons:
Can be to challenging for some
A lot of walking around the very large map
When you save and quit it will save from the beginning of the level
That is my effort. I am sure other Zelda will be a overused subject but it is the only game I own. Cheers. Oak

I think its because my post count is now so high that the requirement of that is higher than my blog status.
Good luck to everyone who gives it a go.
To me well formatted, informative and clever blogs are what we need. Not more reviews.
The fact that I did a review does not mean that is all I can write. We are only allowed one blog in the competition, so really you have to go on the quality of the writing and hope that whoever fills the post will write interesting blogs once they are in
