I think the site will go from strength to strength and its an honour to be in the first 1000 members

You should do what other forums do and make the site members only then the member count will go through the roof.

Also i have to congratulate on the way teh site is run in regards to the mods, very considerate they are

The member count might go through the roof but so would the number of inactive members!

At least if this site can be viewed anonymously the users will be able to read the forum and click on the adverts to bring some revenue in to pay for the sites upkeep.

People will then only become a member if they have something to post etc.

Thinking back, there was only around 50 member when i joined...it's certainly grown very quickly!

Just like our owl thats grown abotu 3 times its day old(ish) size ina week!

I just looked at the stats on the left of the front page. 1169 members. But really, how many of them have posted over 20 times? 121. I counted (sad person that I am). That means that 89.7% of members are pretty much inactive anyway.. .. .. .. so it wouldn't make a huge difference (IMO).. .. ..
