Sorry Mods/Admin but you are embarrassing yourselves now
You should have got me involved in your wind up, I have done some corkers over the years on other forums
Dude, its not a joke!
ON TOPIC:
I like this idea, 100% with it, better sooner than later cos" if you guys dont their"ll be a massive wii forum divide, it"ll be like talk their chat their,
and we think WiiTalk would be best, due to the fact our's comes out on top on Google. However, due to WiiChat being bigger, we decided it would be best we merged into their site.
But thats the domain name that gets it, not the name. So unless your keeping the wiitalk.co.uk domain then that (should) disappear, well... i think thats how it works, correct me if im wrong.

We can't even discuss release dates because they differ across the atlantic.
Is there money involved ? If there is, no need to say more.
The main reason people chose WiiTalk, whether we like it or not, is the fact that it's UK based and so are they. Ditto for WiiChat, but US instead. The fact is that the US get a lot of games before us, this means that they will be able to answer all the questions that get asked about them by us!
Instead of a couple of members being able to give us views on games, over half the site will be able to! Ditto for us when the UK gets a game before the US...
It's about bringing 2 great communities together for the benefit of both.
I wouldn't know much about the money side personally, but I would imagine 1 site is cheaper to run than 2? I don't think it's our place to be discussing the financial aspects of either site...
This will work people! I felt the same way when I first heard the news, but it doesn't take long to realise that it's a massive step forward for us

I had a look at the WiiChat site and it's awful. Sorry but there's a reason why I use WiiTalk and that's because it's a great forum, great people and great admining (that a word?). WiiChat may be bigger, but so what? What is the point in this? You're not merging anything. If this goes ahead then all (and I'm sure there's a lot) the people who hate the idea will leave both sites, thus a split. So where is the merge? Oh I see, you're sticking the ones from their site who think this is a good idea, with the ones from this one who share the same brain damage, and thus everyone on both sides who don't like the idea will leave to do their own thing. No doubt a few more Wii forums will be created. You say you have been discussing this, but was their an open debate? Did you even ask the community, who this will be directly affecting, if they thought it was a good idea? Their site is mainly American, correct me if I'm wrong, and thus a much much greater difference in opinion will present itself which will lead to more arguments, bans, immature behaviour etc. What the hell is wrong with this site as it is? If this goes ahead, and we start using WiiChat's website, then I'm sure a great many members of this community will leave.
Edit: Answering questions? Are you taking the p***? You want to sacrifice our community to have a few questions answered in more depth? Come on.

This is all a big joke, I just checked out wiichat and couldnt find a single thread on the merger, you would think it would be a big deal to their forum aswell.
