Re:priorities, I agree 100%. The above list was then, now I have entirely new "wants"

:
- Between the PS3 (40Gb) and 360 (OK Arcade
- although in reality, the lack of a hard drive would make me get the Premium instead) £300 vs £200 - Must play either HD-DVD/BRD (it would be mainly used for this if I bought one now, funnily enough) Built-in vs £115 for add-on
- Only want one controller, they both come with one included (everyone else won't be allowed to touch it
) - The best cable to connect to my PJ (for movies - HDMI then) £20 vs £20
- A decent Racing simulator- that's all (most gaming left to the Wii) GT5 vs. Forza2
- Wireless connection to router = built-in vs. £60 extra
- Online multiplayer for the racer = free vs. £40 gold (what I would go for)
Which totals as
£340 for PS3 and
£435 for 360

(I think the games are pretty comparitive for both - obviously, I'd wait until GT5 were released.....whenever that is

).
So the only reason for me to get a Sony/MS offering now would be to get the two things I won't ever get on my Wii.......a racing
simulator with online playability and HighDef movies on my projector

......and re:thread title, the
PS3 would be now be about the same as I spent on my Wii
