Well here it is... My official 3000th post on good old WiiTalk
Not only that, but I joined a year ago tomorrow! So I have 2 milestones to celebrate!
It's been a great year of posting and even I'm surprised I'm still around... I only came to find out if WiiPlay did have 2 unlockable games...
Anyway, I don't want to do the whole re-introduction thing as I did my first introduction at 1,000 posts and most of you know me anyway! Just thought I'd discuss what it's been like for the previous year...
I had a look through the members lists the other day and realised how many people have left the forums that I would've called regular posters. It's a shame that this happens on forums, but inevitably, those people are replaced by new members and more of them! I've had the pleasure of watching WiiTalk grow and celebrate every single 1,000 member milestone from the first. If I'm honest, I can't remember what it was like at first, but I'm certain that it was never this busy and with nowhere near the amount of daily posts!
I never thought that I would be asked to join the mod team we have here either. I always felt that they did such a cracking job and there was always someone else I could think of that deserved that privilege more than me... It's a pleasure to be part of that team though and I can only hope to not let anyone down!
I thought that maybe I'd list the names of members that have disappeared over the time I've been here, but then I thought 'What's the point?!'. The fact is that we have a great forum here currently and that will never change. There's no use in thinking of the members that have gone, instead we should be welcoming the new ones as the previous few months have shown just how great they can be! Thanks to all these members that have joined since I arrived the forum is more of a community and fun place to be. Thanks to you all!
I could list the names of 'Special Mentions' here, but once again, what's the point? Every single member makes this forum what it is and just because I may get on well with certain members, doesn't mean I need to publicly post it! You all know who you are... Well, maybe some of you don't
So... I've tried to do something to celebrate the occasion everytime I reach a new milestone. Some people may notice I only post when I get a big milestone, e.g another 1,000. I think it makes it that bit more special
The point of me discussing members gone by and such is because for my 1,000th milestone I created a Mosaic of the all the WiiTalk member's avatars in the shape of the WiiTalk logo (It can be found here). We had far less members back then and I thought that maybe it was in need of an update....
So.... I give you the New, Improved, WiiTalk Mosaic!!
I think you'll agree it's much more impressive this time
Once again, it's made up of all the members' avatars who have posted at least 10 times! Good luck in finding yours and you will see that some have been repeated a few times!
I think this is just a way of representing what I was saying. Every member of this forum, whether 10 posts or 10,000, is just as equal. Without them, it wouldn't be the same
Thanks for a great year!

And long may you continue
Just my way of showing affection
Thanks for all the replies!
The Mosaic didn't take too long in itself, the hard part was going through the entire members list and saving all of your avatars! Then I found out the software I use for the Mosaic didn't support Bitmaps, so I had to find a software that would convert them all to JPG. Unfortunately the one I found could only do 5 at a time
It was a labour of love and I'm very happy with the result
Yeah, I've noticed I'm now top poster
But I'm sure there's some people catching me up already. Especially if you consider that I've been here a year and most people in the 1,000s+ have been here not half as long!
Still, I'll enjoy it while it lasts
