Compare and Compete with your RE4 MERCENARIES high scores


Hopfully this thread will give the veterans among us a reason to dust the game off and encourage the novices to persevere and complete the game to unlock the mercenaries .

With any luck we'll get enough participants to get a leaderboard going .

It just so seems that I've just been playing RE4. I must admit it's almost as good as the actual game - My top score is 88k on level 3 with Jack Krauser so I guess that beats your 1 score

But really I need to learn how to do it - without Kraser I'm doomed! I can barely scape 50k with Wesker, it seems on some levels it's mainly about survival whereas on others it's about time, any hits/tips anyone?

I am no pro and have since traded teh game in :( whic hi will be buying again!

But with wesker a lot of damage can be done with his close combat special attack where it goes into the cut scene, i remember using this a lot

Yeah Krausers attack easily annihalates everyone in range !

No, Krauser uses his 'arm' thing, Wesker uses 'thrust punch' and 'xiao stomp' - 2 deadly moves - but are harder to do than Krausers moves...

Level 2 - 104300
Level 4 - 93560

Other two are meh..

Level 1 - 124560
Level 3 - 81340

I know this isn't a great contribution to this thread, but does anyone have any tips for RE4, it seems some levels and characters, vise versa are all about getting time and using it - where as other characters are all about surviving...

Also, is there any technique to kill the bosses.(esp Dr Salvador Aka Chainsaw freak)

@Ed: Obviously Wesker and Krausers special attacks make life easier but as far as the others go I think using the barrels as much as possible is a good start with the bosses .
For example positioning yourself strategically and lurring them close to one .
Also using grenades and long range weapons as they approach and switching to short range when they get near .

The chainsaw meatheads can be taken out quite easily at short range with leons shotgun .
Incendiatary grenades are extremely usefull against the bosses too , in particular the blind baddies on the second level as it buys you some time to aim at the weak spot in thier back .
Don't know if any of this is any help Ed ... hope it has so you can get more scores up for me to beat
