RE4 (Mercenaries) High Scores

Not really a score update - but I'm inching ever closer to the hand cannon. Only a few more stars to get. Mind you, 5 stars on waterworld with Leon and HUNK seems undoable!

(Some more RE4 Trivia); Heard it on the internet a bit ago, 'Dr Salvador' is the chainsaw man in the game (yes with sack on head) and is of average height. Whereas the Mercaneries 'Super Salvador' is JJ with a bag on his head, notice the hieght and skin colour differance!

I'm having some difficulties with Mercenaries... Please help me <mojo> when next on...

The scenario is: I'm Leon, all I need to do is 2 more stages to unlock the handcannon (Castle+Waterworld)...Even though I'm now quite skilled at this game and know many routes for each stage, I'm still struggling timewise...

Castle: Can kill the boss relativley easily and also the henchmen - however I always run out of time around the 50-55K mark. Apart from time, my other biggest problem is combo's - I can get combo's of around 10-15 about 3 times during the game...but it's pretty small.

Waterworld: Again I can kill Super Salvador with some ease (head shot )...although I'm now completely 'un scared' about him (infact I find myself hunting him to get 5k points usuall) I still can't do the stage...My top Leon score at 59k...I just missed out. But unlike the 'castle' level my combo's are around 20-25 each time.

I really don't know where I'm going wrong...I've got 60k on each with Leon before!

P.S: Just to come 3rd at something.

Well obviously check the map for both stages to make sure you havent missed any time .

Castle
Dont rush through it , especially at the beggining . When you ascend the 1st steps where you collect to 1st time , linger there as the monks will just keep coming . Stay there for a good while then move on to get the time thats up the 2nd steps on the right and do the same there .
When you're trying to get your combo's dont just blast away . IE : If you have say 4 enemies in front of you , take out 3 then shoot the other in the leg or slow him down without killing him until you combo is about to run out . This way it will make more time for more enemies to gather .

Waterworld
If you're getting all the time then it must be your combos that need working on ^see above^

Dont know how helpfull that is ed but if you beat any of my scores i'll be taking the credit

i'm useless at mercenaries. i keep bricking it and am usually reduced to a quivering wreck. i don't know what it is about mercenaries that turns me into a little girl. the rest of the game i can handle fine

LOL at the Nightwing's post...Fortunately for me it's the opposite with the game and Mercenaries...It's all about having a good plan/tactics, when you've got that sorted then your fine.

ps. I've got 5 stars on them all know Quite easily infact!

Meh, I think I've got my best Village/Island/Waterworld scores on my GC so these are generally slightly low!

I just replayed Castle and got a killer score too. 124 kill combo.

Village : 110390 Wesker.
Castle : 160120 Wesker.
Island : 111190 Wesker.
Waterworld : 95130 Wesker.

Hmmmm.... Guess who my favourite character is!

EDIT : New Island Score of 122440 with (Can you guess?) Wesker!
