LED's in the original sensor bar... I don't see any.

You won't see them as they transmit in the infra-red....beyond the range of our eyes.
However, the CCD sensors inside digital camera's
can pick them up.
So turn on your wii, get out your digicam/videocam and point it at the senderbar.
Look through the viewfinder and, voila, you'll see the IR led's glowing purple
