The DS is region free. Therefore ANY DS game will work on any DS. I'd say that the link in the OP is for a US version of the game.
RE: compatability with PAL versions...... I have a US copy of Pearl (Pokemon seen 493, obtained 493!) and have successfully 'migrated' many Pokemon to it from my earlier GBA versions of the game all of which are European releases. It would seem to me that all the talk of compatability issues is more to do with scaremongering than actual fact. . . . . . . . but the final proof will be when Battle Revolution is released!
