Aaaaaaaaah....I thought about writing a guide how I play against machine gunners when I either way use Thompson or MP40...dunno if that actually interests someone, but I'll post it nontheless <.<

MP40 VS Thompson
(You using MP40)
Oh well...basicly it's like a little rollplay :P Offensive and defensive roll :P
MP40 is a very good weapon to take the offensive roll,so you attack, rather then defending,I use it inbetween, though :P Basicly...you need to drag out as many bullets of the Thompson you can actually drag out :P Meaning, you have to use obstacles alot. I do that alot against Thompson users :P Running out of a door, going back, sidestepping through a door. Just to soften the eclipe of the Thompson. Because when he has to reload, you have the upper hand :P At least for the moment. You then rush out,and spray at him. As soon as you emptied your eclipe, the Thompson either way decided to run for his life, where you just follow him and probably finish him off all the time,or he decided to turn around and tries to get you sprayed down, which can often result into a death, because the Thompson is damn quick at taking someone down T.T But if you survived that, you should be able to take him down due to the MP40's reload glitch, which caused you to reload aaaaaaaages ago.

Thompson VS MP40
(You use Thompson)
Basicly it's the other way round, just slightly different :P I run away alot with it when playing against Mojo,or LInkash for example, causing them to believe they actually hit me (Which they most of the time do <.< But it's a nice surprising element when they don't :P),then quickly turn around and spray at the door were they WILL come through(due to lag there possibly are there allready, but you don't see them yet).I call this...well...building a wall of death :P Because even if you are hurt quite much, the Thompson is able to drag them with you,if you just shot at the door without them even being there :P Because they actually allready are there, because of the lag :P
Well...basicly starting to fire at them before they did at you is the key xD And hiting :P And switching to .45/luger if you're confident that you can take them down.
But I use this tactic alot with MP40 aswell against...well...Shotguns,for example :*)
It's especially useful in Monastery, because everything is pretty tight there, which makes you actually being unable NOT to hit them :P

Oh well...I might explained some parts a bit shabby ;_; But I hope you get the main idea
