This is not quite true.
Given that Russia wins three teams will have the same amount of points Sweden, Spain and Russia. This is what their internal table looks like right now:
Sweden 1 1 0 0 4-2 3
Spain 2 1 0 1 4-4 3
Russia 1 0 0 1 0-2 0
If Russia beats Sweden by two goals all teams will have a goal difference of 0. If Russia scores at least 5 goals in that game both Sweden and Russia will have the same goal difference as Spain but more goals scored internaly.
Example
Russia - Sweden 5-3
Sweden 2 1 0 1 7-7 3
Russia 2 1 0 1 5-5 3
Spain 2 1 0 1 4-4 3
This is the only way Spain can be knocked out.
The only way Spain can win the group would be if Russia beats Sweden by exactly 2-0:
Russia - Sweden 2-0
Spain 2 1 0 1 4-4 3
Sweden 1 1 0 0 4-4 3
Russia 1 1 0 1 2-2 0
Sweden and Spain will have the same internal goal difference, and the same amount of internally scored goals. But Spain's overall goal difference will be 8-4 while Sweden's would be 7-4. This is the only result that would put Spain on top...
I'd say 5-3 is possible since Russia will go forward a lot since they need a big win and Sweden has had quite a few goals in their previous games. But I think there would be a lot of discussion about cheating if the game actually ended that way...
