additional "Tips" for the noobs....

Guys, I believe there should be a lot more posts on how to do better. I spent ages trawling the net and for every tip I found on the web I found about twenty from people blaming hackers and other things when in fact it was their inexperience. Dont get me wrong there are hackers but for the most case its down to experience and the following.

Firstly know your ground and where snipers hang out. They will slaughter you until you get to know the maps. If you do snipe to get practice cause your a noob kill and move position cause youre position shows to the person you just killed and whether its capture the flag or TDM if its someone like me your chance of surviving as a noob with a sniper rifle is somewhat limited when taking on experience and an automatic weapon.
Get to know the weapons. The automatics respond like the real thing and tend to pull up so dont waste ammo on huge bursts.
If you do want to use an automatic I found I had more success with the bar and stg44 as they seem to copy the real thing and allow slower but more accurate firing over a longer distance without the disadvantages of the sniper rifles. When running across the field in the open in the village with the stg44 I now find it easy to take out snipers at long distances yet still find it as effective as the fully automatics at close quarter battle.
Watch your team. You can always spot a noob cause when a group runs down in the sewer everyone stops when they see a team mate throwing a grenade the noob keeps running and gets blown up.
Learn about the lag factor. Notice how you see a lot of people who dont die easily moving quickly left right up and down. A lot of them know about the lag factor in the game and are relying on you shooting where they are at that time rather than you anticipating where they will be next. When shooting out in the open don't shoot directly at the enemy learn how far ahead to shoot depending on the distance and how fast they are moving. Whether its in the design or down to the network speed its cool cause thats what happens when shooting at a target with a real gun thats moving.
In between games etc look at the score board and see who on your team does well. Note the weapon they use then follow them and see how they use it.
Keep away from bazookas. Once you get experienced you can take them from behind but as a noob you've no chance.
Practice with your grenades or you will die a lot. I used to die quickly when I started when i turned a corner and saw five enemy looking at me. Things changed a lot when I practiced this. Retreat and usually all will follow you. With your thumb hit left then hit forward to lob not throw a grenade. It should kill some do the same again for those you missed. You wont see it but a lot of the others will be stunned to the point where you can now go forward and kill them with one shot to the body.
Practice, practice then practice some more. Don't worry about hackers etc the experienced will spot them quickly and vote them off. The only difference between you and the experienced ones playing is that the experienced ones know the controls to the point where its second nature.
Finally don't get hung up on ranking. Who really cares. For a while now I've been creaping up but have a long way to go to make up for my long learning curve. I could have created a new profile but who gets noticed more the player who skulks around taking easy kills and ranks high or the player who averages out but has everyone covering him cause they see he's the one who keeps capturing the flag and trust me you cant go into a 32 player game in the sewers and capture most of the flags without dying a few times.
Dont be predictable. When I'm playing capture the flag my favourite trick is to hammer at one area say the open in the village. Soon the enemy all come running out to the same spot time and time again. This leaves areas clear for a clear run at the flag or alternatively I then switch to sniper rifle and take out a lot easily allowing the rest of the team to run on mass to drop in grenades into the barn while they all respawn and capture the flag without too many worries.
I hope that helped. My goal is that hopefully knowing a few tricks will get more people playing more often and for longer rather than on the many forums that hackers and the many other excuses must be the reason they find it so hard when actually they just need a bit of help and loads of practice.

Hopefully see you all online at the weekend,

Fully
