Yes. Hopefully, the advent of High Def will ensure that we move towards a more "universal" format......something like 720p60 (60 fields per sec) or in the future 1080p60 (currently we have 1080p24/25/30 .....again, 3 choices where we should instead have just settled on one if that were possible).
