I can get some good hooks and side swipe by flicking out the bottom of the wii mote/nun chuck. If you hold it upright and flick the bottom up so the remote ends up horizontal with the bottom facing away from you, you get an uppercut type punch, if you flick the bottom out to the side using the wii mote in your right hand the bottom will face your right, then as you do this kind of twist it forward so you're combining the uppercut with this motion then you can get a swipe. Experiment with it, and you'll start to see what I mean. HTH
